Preview followed by live coverage of Sunday's game between Liverpool and Blackpool in the Premier League.

Hoping for a Blackpool win. I think a draw could be on the cards. (H)

3-1.

Hodgson's calling for his own head by playing Merieles on the wing, and playing Skrtel ahead of Agger. Not confident. 1-0 late scrappy Lucas goal.

Anyone got lineups?

Just this:

LAST LEAGUE MATCH LINE-UPS
Liverpool (D2-2 v Sunderland, h): Reina, Johnson, Carragher, Skrtel, Konchesky (Agger 28), Poulsen (Ngog 61), Gerrard, Kuyt, Meireles, Cole, Torres.
Subs Not Used: Jones, Jovanovic, Kyrgiakos, Maxi, Lucas.

Blackpool (L1-2 v Blackburn, h): Gilks, Eardley (Phillips 84), Evatt, Cathcart, Crainey, Vaughan, Adam, Taylor-Fletcher, Harewood (Grandin 66), Campbell, Ormerod (Varney 65).
Subs Not Used: Kingson, Southern, Sylvestre, Keinan.

And:

Liverpool are short of options at left-back, with Paul Konchesky ruled out and both Daniel Agger and Martin Kelly doubtful for Sunday's game.

Captain Steven Gerrard will return to the starting line-up after being rested for Thursday's draw against FC Utrecht.

Fit-again Blackpool defender Rob Edwards is hoping for a recall after playing for the reserves in midweek.

Midfielder Matt Phillips, who scored on his Premier League debut last weekend, could also feature.

Liverpool
Doubtful:
Agger (groin), Kelly (knee)
Injured: Aurelio (Achilles), Konchesky (hamstring)
Blackpool
Injured:
Almond (shoulder), Baptiste, Clarke & Rachubka (all knee)

The Tangerines have lost only one of their last six matches at Anfield, winning three of those encounters. Liverpool's last home win against Blackpool was a 4-1 victory in February 1966.

Good Blackpool Stat

Assume Wilson will get a gig at left back today. Looking forward to seeing him there.

I hope Hodgson takes this match seriously, because we need a result here. If we get a comfortable win, then it could be a turning point for our season, but anything less than a win, and I have to admit, it won't be looking good for a top 10 finish, let alone Europa League.

Liverpool 1 - 0 Blackpool

A really scrappy Kuyt goal.

The Reds team in full is: Reina, Johnson, Carragher, Kyrgiakos, Skrtel, Poulsen, Gerrard, Cole, Meireles, Torres, Kuyt. Subs: Jones, Maxi, Jovanovic, Lucas, Spearing, Ngog, Kelly.

So Carragher at leftback a position he hasnt played since 2004. Why not play Stephen Darby who has played leftback when on loan at Swindon and when Rafa played him a few times last year he didnt look that bad tbh. Playing Poulsen over Lucas is asking for trouble :(. Hoping Torres can score a goal or two today.

I doubt this game is going to be easy for Liverpool and i expect we will have to grind out a result.

Personally I wanted to see Danny Wilson at left back, certainly not Carragher.

Fernando (made of paper) Torres off injured already. Its a shame but my opinion keeps being proved.
