Hey guys, long time reader first time poster. I am horrible with tactics in FM and tend to prefer more simple management games like the old LMA series on PS2. However I am keen to try to implement a tactic similar to a pre built tactic in these games.

Based on Man Utd in 1998/99 it is in a 4-3-1-2.

-----GK
RB-CB--CB-LB
W---CM---W
-----AM
---ST--ST

Any one got any ideas?

Man United played a 4-4-2 in 1998/99?

Really? I'm mainly going of what LMA tells me :P Only started watching Football since 2003/4.

Managed to make a decent tactic.

De Gea (SK)
Rafael (FBAuto) Jones (CDD) Laporte (CDD) Shaw (FBAuto)
Sterling (Wsupport) Romero (BWMsupport) Di Maria (WAttk)
Mata (APAttk)
Pogba (DLFsupport) Vietto (Poacher)

Basically score lots of goals but concede a decent amount too which I am okay with.

Also signed some Sinkgraven guy from Ajax who looks like a great Attacking Mid.

i would put something like
gk(d)
fb(a) ld(d) cb(d) fb(s)
wm(s) rpm(s) cm(d) w(a)
dlf (a) cf (s)
