Valencia Club de Fútbol commonly referred to as Valencia CF or simply Valencia, is a Spanish professional football club in Valencia that currently plays in La Liga, the top flight of Spanish football. Valencia have won six La Liga titles, eight Copa del Rey titles, one Supercopa de España, and one Copa Eva Duarte. In European competitions, they have won two Inter-Cities Fairs Cups, one UEFA Cup, one UEFA Cup Winners' Cup, two UEFA Super Cups, and one UEFA Intertoto Cup. They also reached two UEFA Champions League finals in a row, losing to La Liga rivals Real Madrid in 2000 and German club Bayern Munich on penalties after a 1–1 draw in 2001. Valencia were also members of the G-14 group of leading European football clubs and since its end has been part of the original members of the European Club Association. In total, Valencia have reached seven major European finals, winning four of them.

Valencia were founded in 1919 and have played their home games at the 55,000-seater Mestalla since 1923. They were due to move into the new 75,000-seater Nou Mestalla in the northwest of the city in 2013, but the final move date has been postponed due to ongoing financial problems.

Valencia is the third-most supported football club in Spain, behind Real Madrid and Barcelona.[6] It is also one of the biggest clubs in the world in terms of number of associates (registered paying supporters), with more than 50,000 season ticket holders and another 20,000+ season ticket holders on the waiting list, who can be accommodated in the new 75,000-seater stadium.

Over the years, the club has achieved a global reputation for their prolific youth academy, or "Acadèmia." Products of their academy include world-class talents such as Raúl Albiol, Andrés Palop, Miguel Ángel Angulo, Javier Farinos, David Albelda, Gaizka Mendieta, and David Silva. Current stars of the game to have graduated in recent years include Isco, Jordi Alba, Juan Bernat, José Gayà, Carlos Soler, Ferran Torres and Paco Alcácer.

The Squad

On paper we have a strong squad with decent players in every area of the park. We do have a very young squad though so if we can hold onto these players then we have a real shot in the next few years but we will need to add to it to replace the players who are in on loan but that will be the long term plan. We know we are going to have to sell though thanks to the amount of debt the club is in.

Club Debt

So this is whats going to make this save very interesting as we are forking out £1.8m a month to repay the remaining debt of just under £200,000,000 which isn't going to be a quick thing unless somebody comes in and buys the club and can somehow pay off the bank loans which I don't see happening with how much they are.

Long Term Plans

With the amount of debt the club are in I plan on focusing on the youth team to bring through future stars and then with that any players I do bring into the club will need to be Spanish as well to bring a proper focus on maintaining Spain as one of the best teams in the world.

Season 1

Transfers

With needing to make space in the wage budget since we are already over spending then we needed to ship somebody out and that player was Denis Cheryshev whose contract was ending at the end of the season and Sassuolo were kind enough to come along and pay us £4,000,000 for him so that solves the short term issue of being over the wage budget. As expected we don't bring any new players into the club.

Preseason

We had a very strong preseason and it looks like we could do well this season if everything goes to plan as our defence looks like it could be solid and goals shouldn't be an issue either.

A nice short month to start the league with Sevilla at home being the first test for us.

We got very lucky here thanks to the own goal and sadly couldn't take advantage of them going down to 10 men.

Valencia v Sevilla

A strong performance here as we managed a very respectable draw where we managed to keep Sevilla out.

Granada v Valencia

A really sore one to take as we concede right at the death and should really have got a point here

Well we're down in 13th but its only been 3 games so nothing to really worry about.

Transfers

Well we nearly got through the month without any transfers and then deadline day hit and we had one players leaving the club as Gabriel Paulista ended up moving to Newcastle for a whopping £33.5m. I negotiated to somewhere I thought they would pull out but they were happy to pay it so I'm happy to let one of our best defenders leave to allow us to reinvest in the club.

To replace Paulista I had to go into the transfer market and signed Oscar Mingueza from Barcelona for £12m

He is a nice young defender and even has a cap for the national team already as well so hopefully we can help him develop and get him some more caps.

Next we needed a RW as we were missing some quality there and would allow us to play our other wingers down the left where they are best suited so we signed Suso on loan from Sevilla and have the option to sign him for £14.5m come the end of the season if we want to and have the cash.

Tactic

For the rest of the season I've decided to play to our squads strengths and go with a 4-3-3 so we are defensively sound going forward, especially against the bigger teams.

For this to work though keeping players fit will be key though as if we lose Gomez we are going to be in real trouble upfront. This is the same in another couple of positions as well as we need to add some more quality depth.

It should hopefully be a straight forward month as we avoid the big teams this month.

Maxi Gomez with an excellent 3 minute brace as he shows how important he's going to be for us this season.

Valencia v Mallorca

What a 2nd half as we're able to take full advantage of the sending off as Gomez gets an excellent hat-trick

Osasuna v Valencia

Again it was the sending off that made the difference here but we found it harder to take advantage of them that Mallorca and struggled to a late win.

Alaves v Valencia

Nothing like winning the game with the last kick of the ball. Always a much better feeling when it goes your way.

We've leapt up the table after 7 games and now sit in 3rd. Anything in the European spots is what we're after this season.

Some big games this month that we have to look forward to.
