I'm arsenal as well and I've sacrificed the quality of my team for the finances. So now I lose around £5m-£8m a month but make about £40m profit at the end of the season as my Champions League and Premier League payouts come.
When buying a player, look for the youth for positions that you need and have them as backup. Or sign out of contract old players such as Frank Lampard (in my save of 2015) and use them as backups. Also when a key player is wanted and you think you can replace him with a younger player then do so. eg. Fabregas to Barca for £90m and Ramsey to replace. Not to the same standard of course but he does the job.
