Losing streaks.

I'm currently in my 5th season with Chester, and cannot for the life of me get them promoted. Best i've managed so far is 8th.

Without fail, a losing streak will ruin my season every single time. Whenever I lose one match after a good run, it always becomes a long losing run. Is there any way I can stop this from happening?
