Lost my disk, please help!

Basically I bought FM2010 a few months ago and at the time i installed it via the computer, (i chose at the time not to use steam becuase i had numerous problems with steam on FM09.) I've since lost the disk and am therefore unable to play. I have the case still which contains the Steam code for the game which hasn't been registered yet. Is there any way i can install the game on my steam without the disk, just using just the code? Or will i have to buy a new game to play it? Thank you

I'm pretty sure you can install the game on steam without the disc and just with the code, but I'm not 100% sure. Try it and see at least

Have you created an .iso backup of it at least?
Edit:guess not,but at least you have activated it with steam.
