I've been managing Bath City.
Took them from Blue Square South to Premier League with five consecutive promotions.
Last season in Coca Cola Championship my average attendace was 8000+ on a 8840 stadium with about every of the last 20 games sold out (8840 att.).

City has sold a record 2850 season tickets and I've been drawing decent crowds in pre-season: 4900 - 5900 vs. NUFC, Liverpool, Glasgow Rangers, ...
But every of my 5 home games in EPL so far have 1020 attending (!).

My home game in the League Cup gainst a Championship side had a 5900 attendance.

So to me this does not make sense. Even in Blue Square Premier I was getting over 1000 attendance.

I've brought in about 30 new players (28 mill Euro) this season and sold most of my CH team (18 mill Euro) but most of the new players were greeted with excitement and are rated from 60% - 100% (Frank Lampard :) (36y/o on a free transfer)).

I've won all the home games (all 1-0) so far and are 1 point below a Euro spot but the season is still young.

Anyway, the ticket prices have always been expensive, but because the stadium is so small it's the only way to keep the club out of debts without having to sell players (I'm 3.5 mill over salary budget on anual base).

But the fact that only 1/3 of the season ticket holders is attending does not make sense now that the club is in EPL (in the entire history they had never been out of Blue Square Premier).

The club has loaned 30 million to build a new 40 million Euro 18.000 seater stadium.

Any explanations?

No. Because there's no space to expand the stadium the city council won't allow.
The new stadium is build in a new location.
And besides, why would cup matches and friendlies still draw large crowds?

Well, I was looking at the attendance again and it struck me it's 1017 every game.
I thought: oh my the game is bugged!
But then I remembered: the stadium has 8840 capacity but only 1017 seats. And in EPL you have to sit :)

Awkward of course I still sold 2800 season tickets...

That would **** me off big time, buying a season ticket then realising I am not allowed to go to the games! :P

But it's a collector's item!

Besides the club could really use the money (season ticket average price is 720 euro). Maybe there's some form of fan-roulation... you get to attend 1 of every 3 matches.

720 euros for a season ticket!!! how much is a match ticket? no wonder so little fans are turning up ;)

perhaps the people of bath are all glory hunting at another club, Eh Danny Carter.

Ontopic: Them season tickets are a bit pricey. Image that.. Buying a season ticket for 720Euros then having to watch it in the pub over the road

Average ticket price is 44 euro.
But I'm pretty sure none are available on match days... :p

7th overall of English football on ticket prices, Man Utd, Middlesbrough, Villa, Baty City at 44 Euro.

Correction on the price of an average season ticket: 731 euro, which puts Bath City in 9th position, Arsenal first at 1,460 Euro.

City have sold 2871 season tickets.
2871 x 731 = 2.098.701 Euro. My goal keeper (Vivano) is making 1.800.000 Euro/year.
My monthly profit ranges from 0 to 100.000 euro. But I'm 3.7 million Euro over my yearly wage budget.

Season ticket holders: 66th position. Btw, Chesterfield from Blue Square Premier has 2814 season ticket holders.

The new stadium will have 17497 seats (I take it they will be seats :) ).

AND the big question now is: will the average season ticket price remain at 731 Euro once the new stadium is built?!
