Team Name:

Nickname(s):

Key Player: Luke Moore

Surely going to be one of the main guys for WBA this season. A lightning quick striker and will split defences in the Championship open. A young gun and I'm pretty sure he's only going to get better.

Key Player: James Morrison

0,,10366%7E4716485,00.jpg

One of the most creative and important first-team players in this West Bromwich Albion squad. Without James Morrison, the season would surely fall apart. Lets see what this guy can do!

Key Player: Jonas Olsson

0,,10366%7E6913905,00.jpg

The rock in the back four, Jonas Olsson will be the man that keeps the defence in shape and makes sure that everyone is doing they're job. Surely without Olsson, they're defence would just collapse.

Breaking News:

It is understood that newly appointed West Bromwich Albion Manager has made three seperate loan bids for three respective players. Giovani Dos Santos is one of the three men that Mr. Fabina has tried to secure along with Fran Merida of Arsenal and Darron Gibson of Manchester United!

--

Fran Merida

The attempt of WBA to secure Fran Merida on loan till the end of the season has been successful and Fran Merida has said he is relishing the chance of first team football. Luca Fabina has been incredibly happy with such an amazing signing so early into the window.

--

Gibson & Dos Santos

Unfortunately, Manchester Utd rejected the loan bid for Gibson and Dos Santos decided he would rather go out on loan to Premier League club Sunderland instead of Promotion hopefuls West Bromwich Albion.

Post Match

Man Of The Match:
Luke Moore.

An unstoppable performance by the WBA hit-man netting three goals, I think the Baggies fans will hope he can continue this form into the rest of the competitive season.

New Signing!

Mr. Fabina has just announced the loan signing of Caleb Folan on a three month loan deal from Hull. Mr. Fabina has said "I am very happy with this signing and I hope we can really get him going this season and possibly be able to get him again in January!"

The former-hull striker said "I am glad to come to such an ambitious club and I hope to try and help them into the English Premier League yet again!"

Another New Face?

It is possible that Feyenoords Andwele Slory could be on his way to the Hawthorns for a bargain price of 975k. The Attackive Midfielder/Striker had been listed by the Dutch giants and is looking for a move. It is said that they are discussing terms now but Slory would be angling for about 13k per week for him to move to WBA.

Sky Sports News
25th July 2009

Slory has agree'd terms with WBA and both sides have confirmed the deal taking the Dutch Striker to the black country. Slory said "I am very happy to come to my new club and have a chance to re-establish myself here." The Italian Manager also then released a statement to Sky Sports News saying "I am so very very happy to have signed such a talented lad and someone who is really up for proving himself. I can't wait to get him on the pitch and the Baggies fans should be really happy about this signing because this is a biggen."

September Summary Coming Soon.

September Summary

In my eyes, the poorest month ever. Picking up a measly five points in five games. Scoring only four goals and conceding an six. Also in this month we were knocked out of the League Cup by Leeds Utd in a game which West Brom thought they were robbed. Unfortunately for West Brom and manager Luca Fabina, the squad had been depleted due to injury and suspension.

12th September 2009
WEST BROM 0 - 0 Plymouth
'N/A'

15th September 2009
WEST BROM 2 - 0 Doncaster
'Moore, Thomas'
*Moore & Koren injured for a month.

19th September 2009
Middlesborough 3 - 0 WEST BROM.
'N/A'

22nd September 2009
WEST BROM 1 - 2 LEEDS
'Brunt'
*We out-played them and were robbed in the second half.

26th September 2009
WEST BROM 0 - 0 Crystal Palace
'N/A'

29th September 2009
Barnsley 3 - 2 WEST BROM
'Olsson, Brunt'

This month was a poor month for 'The Baggies' but we did take a positive in getting a parent club in Chelsea FC. They will loan us players so that they can get first team experience and will play for they're wages and both sides think this is a very good idea and the two will face each others in Friendlies. Ravaged by injury hopefully West Brom can soldier on and have signed Phillip Prosenik on loan for three months from Chelsea.

--October Summary

This month was an AMAZING month for West Brom who are now firmly back on track to getting promotion. After last months horror, they came out of the blocks quick as they managed to sign Danny Welbeck and Emiliano Insua on loan! Luke Moore also made it back from injury and had a prolific month and Andwele Slory finally found his shooting boots.

3rd October 2009
Preston North End 0 - 4 WEST BROM
'Merida, Welbeck, ***, Slory'
*this is what put us back into the frame, I so enjoyed watching us stuff PNE but unfortunately Welbeck was injured for a few weeks and *** suffered a broken leg and is predicted to be out for a long 7 month spell.

17th October 2009
WEST BROM 3 - 1 Reading
'Moore (2), Slory'
*Luke Moore's return game and an absolute thriller for him. Slory also got on the scoresheet for the very first time this season. This is what banged these two into form!

20th October 2009
WEST BROM 3 - 0 Swansea
'Moore (3)'
*Luke Moore was profilic today, making it five in two games since returning. We had missed him alot and Swansea who were in fifth we're blown away.

24th October 2009
Coventry 1 - 1 WEST BROM
'Slory'

*Slory got the first one until they knicked one straight after, Moore was off colour today but every superstar is allowed one day off 'eh?

31st October 2009
WEST BROM 2 - 0 Watford
'Slory, Moore'

*Desperate to make it an unbeaten month, I didn't change the team except for Olsson being banned, swapping him with Ivory Coast international Meite. Slory and Moore put these away.

NOVEMBER UPDATE V. SOON :)

Not doin bad mate not too far off the automatic spots :) just need some consistancy :)

Yeah, My nightmare month was September and in October, I turned it around and at the start of November, I've picked up where I left off, another update in about half an hour probabley, can't get enough of this topsy-turvy season :P

---------- Post added at 01:32 AM ---------- Previous post was yesterday at 11:40 PM ----------

November Summary

An alright month for us, undefeated and taking 5 points from a possible 9. We're still pushing for the top of the table and going into January possibly we can grab some of our defenders back unfortunately Emiliano Insua has been injured for a long period of time and Jerome Thomas is injured for a disgraceful 7 months with a broken foot. He was injured by his own player Abduli Meite in training. Slory has also just been injured from up to 2 months and at least 7 weeks. Meaning the strikers are less optional but with Danny Welbeck fit, they're should be no problem till January where they can sign another Striker in.

7th November 2009
Leicester 0 - 4 WEST BROM
'Slory, Moore, Merida (2)'

*I was very happy at picking up November where we left off in October, a commanding 4 - 0 victory of Leicester and stating claim to a promotion spot. Merida on form and Slory and Moore continueing they're goalscoring runs.

21st November 2009
WEST BROM 1 - 1 Bristol City
'Barnett'

*It was pretty shocking this game, we we're all over them but just couldn't finish them off with thousands of oppurtunities. Barnett was the only guy to score for us and he and James Morrison were the only two playing that day.

28th November 2009
Sheffield Wednesday 1 - 1 WEST BROM
'Moore'

*I was again frustrated after this game as we did the hard work getting infront through our leading goalscorer and then couldn't hold on to it yet again, Slory was injured and will be out from 7 weeks - 2 months.

Top Goalscorers:
Luke Moore: 2 In 3 Games.
Fran Merida: 2 In 3 Games.
Andwele Slory: 1 In 3 Games.
Leon Barnett: 1 In 3 Games.
