Decide to give this ago as my friend so being a low-ranked national team is a good game. Anyone give me any tips, as im pretty new?
The Luxembourg National Team have not had much joy since joining the Uefa Federation. However, they finished as the 5th best team in Europe in 1964 after they defeated Holland to get to the final 8 in the 1964 European Nations Cup (European Championships). They ended up losing to Denmark in a reply after two draws in the first two legs, meaning they outplayed all the other quarter final losers.

Their best qualifying campaign came in 1996 as they gained three wins in the European Champions Quals after two 1-0 wins over Malta and a single 1-0 over eventual Runners-Up, Czech Republic. However, from 1995 to 2007, they didn't win a game and therefor feel to their lowest ever
Fifa World Ranking position of 195th. But they fortune turned in the next three years as they recorded wins over Gambia, Belarus, Switzerland and Slovakia as they moved up to 130th as of July 1st.

Despite not have a well established league of their own, the Luxembourg Federation boasts three Leagues with promotion and relegation from each one and European
Football for the top four teams in the National League, depending on the Cup winner of that season. Teams like Jeunesse Esch, Dudelange and Differdange are thought of as the main forces in the country although the top four places do change which leads to a lot of surprise teams getting into the European Competitions.

Only Jeunesse Esch have gotten through one round in a European Competition as they trounced the Polish champions as they beat them 6-2 on aggregate after a smashing 5-0 win in the first leg. They then got drawn with Real Madrid in the next round and bowed out as 12-2 losers. Jeunesse Esch also manage a 1-1 draw with Liverpool at Anfield in 1973.
