Macclesfield have today, on the 5th June 2011, appointed an unknown 'rookie' manager called Ben Hance ahead of their Blue Square Bet Premier season.

The Silkmen, who have been recently relegated from League Two, are looking for an immediate return to the Football League, and say that Hance can be successful in his time at the club.

Hance has expressed his delight at joining the Silkmen by saying in his first press-conference that it is a dream come true, and one day he would love to manage in the Premier League.

In the way of transfers, the rookie is looking to sign some extra power in every position, or so he has told the press in his opening conference, and he may be willing to sell a few players and give some players who weren't getting a chance last year, a chance, Hance, who has said he is a fair manager, has said he will give everyone a chance to impress him in pre-season, and anyone who is not good enough, will have to wait until someone has a poor run of form in the competitive games. Finally he went on to say that he wants to get promotion, but he would love a good FA Cup run also, the FA Trophy will be another chance of going to Wembley so they will play a decent side in that.

NEW FACES INTRODUCED TO SQUAD

Macclesfield have today completed the signings of young Irish striker Jamil Adam and promising right/central defender Reece Wabara on a season-long loan from Manchester City. Ben Hance, who has made no other signings in the whole of July has said he's finally pleased to get 2 players who he has admired all his playing career. The manager also stated he is hoping to sign some more new faces before the end of the transfer window.

Thanks, I have since also signed left-back Blair Adams on loan from Sunderland, completing my starting xi, I now just need a few better back-ups.

Macclesfield 6-2 Southport

Hat-ricks from both Euloge Ahodikpe and Chris Holroyd were enough to earn Macclesfield 3 points on the opening day of the season, manager Ben Hance was very pleased with his sides performance and says he hasn't congratulated the goalscorers any more than the rest of the team.

Can I advise monthly updates instead as single as they are much easier to read a more enjoyable. Great result though and come on you Silkmen!

Okay then thanks! Also are you a Macclesfield fan?
