Main diffrences between 'Classic' and the 'New'

Hey having never played FM until 2013 arrived (I used to play a LMA on the playstation) I am really struggling with FM2013 (I am playing as Shef Wed and finding non of the tactics I use get me anywhere, down loaded and my own)

Should I try classic and if so will the downloaded tactics work well?

FMClassic uses exactly the same match engine, so there will be no difference in your tactics whatsoever
