This month Leeds United crashed out of the League Cup in the second round following a 2-0 defeat. Fans were not upset by the defeat as they can see why the side were beaten to a superior Tottenham squad.

Leeds United boss Venables has also confirmed that he had an offer for highly-rated striker Charlie Austin accepted, but Austin rejected the club - as he has just signed for Swindon.

Leeds United also had an offer accepted for Croatian midfielder Ivica Vrdoljak and the player and Leeds had agreed terms, but the Croatian was not granted a work permit.

As you probably know Kikin Fonseca is the MAN and you could probably sneak him for Leeds for around 700k. He's so worth it, he guided me to successive league titles in League 1 and the Championship, and still got a few games in the Premiership. You'll receive offers for Howson but he's worth keeping. I got Dare Vrsic for a bargain (something like 100k) and I sold him for millions in the Premiership. I'll be following this mate, I feel an affinity with Leeds since my file! Good luck!

Just gonna' load up this game now guys, will update soon.

Leeds United remain unbeaten this month, after a good month of results.
Leeds also took part in a seven goal thriller vs Gillingham. Leeds were 3-0 up half time before Gillingham got 3 back - Jonathan Howson then scored a volley in the 89th minute, a goal that delighted fans.

Leeds are currrently 1st in the league but Huddersfield who are 2nd have 1 game in hand, and are only 2 points behind Leeds.

Leeds won 4 out of 4 in October.

Terry Venables is proving to be the man on everbodys lips as he has guided Leeds to another unbeaten month. In a month where Leeds only played 4 games, Venables has been praised by the media.

The Sun reported "Venables enjoying life at Leeds." whilst The Daily Mirror stated "Venables enjoying good start with Leeds."

Despite this good form Venables only came second in the manager of the month award, as Brighton & Hove's Gus Poyet edged the prize.
Poyet has led his Brighton team to victory in all 6 games this month, something Venables could of achieved if his Leeds side had more fixtures this month.

Venables was also reported as the number 1 choice for the vacant Newcastle job, but publicly said "I would not want the job."

Un-named striker on the way to Leeds.

Several sources have been reporting a £400k signing is on his way to Leeds.
Sources have reported it to be Marlon Harewood and several other names.
Leeds boss Venables has confirmed a striker is on his way to Leeds but hasn't mentioned any names.
"He is going to grab many goals for the club." Venables said in an interview,

---------- Post added at 03:53 PM ---------- Previous post was at 03:33 PM ----------

I will be updating fixtures and stuff at about 10:00pm when I get back in!

Take a look at Martin Palermo, I know he's 35, but by god... his stats are amazing!

Brave Leeds finally lose.. (twice)

There were signs of fatigue, as Leeds seemed unable to cope with the 8 games this month.

Leeds boss Venables attended an interview at Elland Road last night, here is what went on.

THE SUN: SEVERAL SOURCES HAVE LINKED YOU WITH THE NEWCASTLE JOB, IS IT TRUE THAT YOU HAVE BEEN APPROACHED?

T.V: I HAVE BEEN APPROACHED, BUT DENIED ANY INTEREST IN THE JOB. LEEDS UNITED IS MY DESTINY AND I HOPE TO TAKE THIS TEAM UP TO THE PROMISE LANDS.

THE DAILY MIRROR: RECENTLY IT WAS REVEALED YOU HAVE BEEN ACTIVE IN THE TRANSFER MARKET, CAN YOU REVEAL WHO THE NEW PLAYER YOU ARE SIGNING IS? AND IS THE FEE OF AROUND £400,000 CORRECT?

T.V: I CAN GLADLY REVEAL THAT IT IS CORRECT THAT A PLAYER WILL BE JOINING US, AND I CAN ANNOUNCE THAT THE PLAYER IS CHARLIE AUSTIN, SWINDON STRIKER. THE PRICE IS £400,000 SO I GUESS THE RUMOURS WERE CORRECT.

The Sun: Mr Venables, what made you sign Charlie Austin?

T.Venables: When a player as good as Charlie is going for that cheap, you just have to make a move.
