I was just wondering how football fans view the appointment of Malky at Wigan? Do you think it was tongue and cheek type comments? or Is this something that Football needs to be stricter with?

I actually think he could really turn Wigan around if he gets the buy in from the players but the question is will he?

Bad move by Wigan to appoint him before the outcome of the investigation has been decided, personally would not have him if it was my club and decision. There's enough bigotry in football so best to keep it out where we can imo.

edit also Whelan has not helped himself trying to defend some of the comments.

but do you not think though that if he has apologized for his actions? He deserves a second chance or would you condemn him anyway?

I think he is a championship specialist and always does well in that league!

This is again my personal opinion, if it was just an isolated incident then yes an apology etc you could look past it I suppose but it was multiple offences or it looks like that way. It is hard to say till the outcome of the investigation is determined. But i am just saying me personally wouldn't want him at my club ifit was Leeds.
