Man Utd 2014/15 - can't find a cm maestro!

I won everything from 2012 and 2013, but lost everything in 2013/2014.
I also changed tactics but always use a cm to either hold the ball and be a deep lying playmaker or just a Ball winning.
My current tactics is Lloris, Azpillicueta, Phil Jones, Mbiwa, Bale, Fellaini, Hamsik, Pastore, Jovetic, Rooney and Cavani.
The thing is: my team plays attacking and narrow. I use Cavani as my target man and use my cm, being either Hamsik or Ganso as Deep lying playmakers, but this two just suck big time! While the team has an average of 7.something, Hamsik and Ganso are below 6.6~6.9!
Should I get a 30 year olg Modric or a 24 year Poli?
 
How about Martin Marvin?
Is he any good in a central role?
 
Erick Torres can play Amc and becomes a beast upfront too
 
AMC position is Pastore's. I need a Deep lying playmaker or someone that can play CM to open even more spaces. XD
 
You could try Toni Kroos from Bayern. I think his best position is DLP CM, so maybe that will help, also, his long shots/freekicks are great.
 
I use Arturo Vidal as DLP for Man Utd. I'm in 2016 and destroying everything in my path. I use a wide formation though, so maybe you should look at using some wingers.

I sold Pogba.
He wasn't enough for my team. I mean... I was against my friend's Arsenal that had pretty big names... so... was not possible to raise him into world class level.
