Hi all,

I am playing season 2010/2011 at the moment, and I am waiting for a few players to retire so that I can offer them a coaching role in my team. Any idea when will these players officially retired and ready for backroom staff?

Ryan Giggs - 36
Van der Sar - 40
Gary Neville - 35
Paul Scholes - 36
Rio Ferdinand - 32

van der sar retired 2nd season for but others are still playing

omg, mine is already 3rd season but vds is still renewing his contract...
He is my first choice by the way, performing well at the age of 40.
Could this be the reason?

put him in the reserves and he will soon retire same goes for the other grandads lol

very professional

maybe saying things like they will make good coaches etc may influence them?? I'm Utd as well but in my first season. I'm hoping Giggs will retire at the end of this one as I haven't renewed it yet (in late March) whereas I've renewed Scholes an d Gaz for another year. May play Kisack or Foster more in my second season although VDS has still been doing the business
