No it's about if they are or Brazilean, Portuguese or from one of the Hispanic countries i think but i will wiki it up :)

2 years for EU players? Sanchez is nationalised Italian... And I've just checked a French-nationalised Pastore, 2 years.

Yet my English Players need 10 years. So confusing :(

It's not hard to use Google you know...

1) Residence as a Means to Spanish Citizenship
  • You have been a legal resident of Spain for at least 10 years.
  • You are a citizen of a Latin American country, Andorra, Portugal, the Philippines, or Equatorial Guinea, or you are of Sephardic descent, and you have been a legal resident of Spain for at least two years.
