manager of reserves/youth team

hi all

firstly sorry if this is already posted or in wrong place.

i was wondering if there is any way to mange either the reserve or the youth team without the assistant doing such as picking team tactics etc

Team Policy > Reserves/Under 18s > Check the box that says "Control team"

Is there anyway to just manage reserves or youth without managing the first team and work your way through the club ?
