My question is...
If you could pick any manager in the world to lead your country, who would you choose.

For Portugal, I'd have to choose Mourinho. Greatest Portuguese manager in recent memory, if not ever!

Never really been a fan of England and doubt I ever will be but if I was to have an English Manager in charge it would have to be Roy Hodgson in my opinion.

As much as it pains me to say it, just for the winning factor you have to say Ferguson don't you?

Not necessarily from your country Lee, any manager in the world to manage your National team, so I'm assuming you're English, any manager in the world to manage England.

Giovanni Trappatoni (for any country, since i don´t really support a nation in particular rather then supporting the nation that plays the best football) for several reasons: he´s a legend, he´s a quality coach and he actually tries to learn the language of the country where he´s working in (not always successfully though lol)

Scolari managing Brazil.

Great manager who wasnt given enough time at Chelsea

Paul Hart at Wrexham where he belongs.

Republic of Ireland - Sir Alex Ferguson
England - Diego Maradona and Rafa Benitez :P

If Maradona can only just get Argentina to qualify with players like Riquelme, Aguero, Messi etc, then I'd hate to see what he'd do to us. Also Benitez would probably end up resting our key players in a big game like he always does lol.

very valid points. But i would guess he is irish and that is what he intended. might be wrong though.:P

England: The one and only Chris Hughton...

There is a reason why Capello is the best paid manager in the world, i don't think Hodgson would do it for England, having said that his track record as an international Manager as pretty impeccable

Trap for Ireland?:)
No,Seriously,I Would Have Said Brian Clough
