I was looking to recreate Fergie's well formed 442 with 2 BBM upon which they pivot? Does anyone know if this is possible? And if so how it is done? I find both push as much as the other meaning the tactic atm is very susceptible to counters. Any ideas are appreciated.

Two BBMs, can work with exceptional defence and decent decision stats in the 2 in mid.

I have struggled with the 2 BBM's in midfield as it is too easy to bypass them. Unfortunately getting hit on the counter hard. Other than that plays well.

Try a BWM and a BBM in midfield. I have used this combo and it works really well. IF I am being honest though the United side of '99 didn't have 2 BBM's. The main midfield pairing was Keane and Scholes. I would hardly call Scholes a BBM. Maybe try a BBM and a central midfielder with attacking mentality. Or Have the Scholes role as a DLP but with permision to roam from position or shoot from distance.

I appreciate the help, I would have said however that back in that era scholes was a lot more mobile than in recent years and did seem to roam a lot more than a DLP, I am unsure on whether you can give the DLP licence to roam however might imitate how he played back in the day. Cheers for the suggestion, will let you know how it goes.

yeah it is a bit hard to label Scholes with a role. Probably the best thing would be to set him as a standard center midfielder but with attack duty
