Manchester United - help - maybe a more creative middle?

My Man Utd is only in the middle of the first season, but it's already pretty obvious to me that my team has pretty serious problems regarding consistency, specially in the midfiled.
So I need help in rebuilding the team: sold Anderson (was unhappy), Valencia and Nani (their 7.0 rating was unreal, as there are games that they were man of the match, and others that they just didn't do anything) and I'm about to lose Heargreaves, as he asked for a pornographic 400,000 euros a month.
Current squad:

Lindegaard
Rafael - Vidic - Boussong - Evra
Heargreaves
Moussa - M'Vila
Pastore
Rooney - Benzema

I'm thinking of selling Berbatov and release Owen, and buying: a goalkeeper, a decent anchorman and if money is enough, a AMC to be bench player for Pastore.
Any suggestions? I'll probably have around 30 to 40 millions to spend. Thanks.

Buy De Gea,Hazard,Sandro and Lukaku or Babacar.

Is the Gea that good? I'm playing with the latest update, but the previous one he was not THAT good...and was actually pretty expensive!
Hazard was bought by Sunderland... and two players that I usually buy, Marek Hamsik and Vidal, were bought by Man City! I'll take a look at Sandro.
Babacar is definetely coming to my team, one way or another... XD

You can get Carrizo or Pyatov on frees for next season, if you don't want to spend on De Gea. He is very, very good though, so you may want to reconsider. Hargreaves will probably ask for a smaller figure by the end of his contract because usually noone picks him up till the last month, so you may want to keep him. As an Anchorman you can get Kara - should be inexpensive in Jan and will improve - but I'm not sure if he'd get a wp.

One thing to keep in mind though is the fact that you have replaced half of the team and need time to gel so may be keep going to end of season and build from there other wise it is going to take a while for your players to become 'gelled' as it were.

But to improve teamplay isn't it no more than 5 to 6 games?

Vukojevic is a quality DM if you cant get Vidal.

Romero for Goalkeeper, he's pretty cheap normally/free. Otherwise yeh, De Gea or Asenjo are both quality Spainish keepers if someone like Reina is out of your price range. Might be nice to buy De Gear because apparently Utd have agreed a 18 million transfer for him in RL!

Covering AMC, Tejera, cheap and wow or Milan Badelj, quality, providing he hasnt already gone to CSKA.

Will probably be able to sign, De Gea, Vukojevic and Tejera for 40 million on 11.3.
