So i have just received my copy of FM 2015 off the Wife and im diving straight into a save with Man Utd to get used to all the new features and check out the new wonderkids and obvious buys.
I have had 2 former Man Utd stories the first was my very first FMBase thread and went on for 12 plus seasons http://www.fm-base.co.uk/forum/foot...ger-stories/109104-red-devils-domination.html the other save in last years game was also successful whilst i portrayed a Man Utd Legend in Nicky ****.http://www.fm-base.co.uk/forum/foot...anchester-united-story-legend-takes-over.html

So i hope you will join me in this exciting time as i get to grips with FM 2015 whilst watching Soccer Saturday, i have classed myself as a Tracksuit Manager with all the relevant coaching badges to manage United.

Pre - Season - 2014

So im suprised that Robin Van Persie is considered the best player at the club but i sometimes go off how the player is doing in real life but really should go off how they were before the season started.

Along with Van Persie are next best players include Falcao, Di Maria, De Gea and Mata with our current Captain Wayne Rooney not even in the top 5 at the club,

So i have been given around £60 Odd Million to spend in the transfer budget and im not quite sure if i will spend any of it yet, I have couple of options for centre back but overall the players that want to come to the club compared to those that are already at the club are not that different so it may be a waste of money,
I would rather use the full extent of the squad and youth players for the moment and see whats needed in January but i may just splash out on a few youngsters too.

My Tactic

So this is more to show the shape i would like to use this season rather than individual roles or whos even going to make the first team.

Good Luck too ^_^ Will be following as United fan xD Was planning on starting one too, exams got in the way, will do it soon, I guess ^_^

been feeling rough today but im a few months in now so will knock out a couple of updates tomorrow

Summer Transfer Window and Pre-Season Friendlies - 2014

So i was given around £60 Million to spend but originally didnt plan on going to crazy with the budget, I didnt sell anyone in this window as i wanted to give everyone a chance but now a few months in i have an idea of several players that will soon be sold.

So my big money signing was to bring in Belgium CB Jan Vertonghen from Tottenham for almost half my budget but i would like to think he will sure up our leaky defence.

View attachment 329903

So along with him i also bought FM Stalwart Balanta who i signed on practically every save last year and on this years edition he looks just as good and will be another good addition to our dodgy defense.

Finally my 3rd signing was from Barcelona as i activated Wonderkid Munir's reasonably small release clause. Hes touted to be an aamzing player and can also cover several positions for my tactic so this deal was a no brainer, i only chanced a scouting of him whilst checking out Bartra.

Pre-Season didnt go too bad with 4 wins from 6 but the loss to Rubin hurt, I cant really reflect on how we will do this season though from these results as we must of had at least 10 players missing throughout pre-season to injuries with Falcao only playing in the final game.

Well it was an interesting first month as we won 2 and lost two, We started at Arsenal were we got absolutely destroyed in the opening 45 minutes by 5 Arsenal goals with Welbeck netting a hattrick. A quick change in personnel and tactics saw us pull 3 goals back to end with a less embarrassing scoreline. The second game against Chelsea was more of the opposite as we went into an early 2 goal lead with the new tweak to the tactic working a treat before they pulled 2 back in the second half but it was the work of super sub Januzaj and the Overload button that saw me pick up my first win.
The next match was in the Carling Cup against lowly Colchester who we easily dispatched of with some of the second string getting a run out including the likes of Rooney and Mata.
We then ended the month badly losing 1-0 to Everton, they scored minutes into the game and then just sat on the lead we had 30 odd chances and hit the woodwork 4 times but it wasnt our day.

Falcao is 3 for 3 so far in the league this season and hasnt even reached full fitness yet and i can tell already keeping him fit is going to be key to any success.

Well again this month our consistency is all over the place as we win at the beginning and the end of the month with a couple of losses in the middle. We started the month emphatically smashing Leicester 5-1 with Falcao grabbing 4 of those goals before Aston Villa beat us by a late goal with Falcao having a mare of a time.
I can definitely say that Arsenal and Welbeck have the beating of us as i put out more of a reserve side in this cup fixture and we easily get beaten as our niggling injury list grows.
We ended the month on a higher note though as we comfortably beat Southampton at home by 3 goals.

So were currently sat in 7th with Everton are recent conquerors top of the pile at the moment, Falcao is storming the Golden Boot chart though with 8 league goals already this season.
Our next 3 games in October are all very winnable games so hopefully we will start to climb the table then.

Best of luck to you, good signings bar Balanta. He is good but he is oversigned on FM. However you're the manager and it's your choice, will be following :D

some up and down results so far mate! good luck for the next month!

So we started the month off with a highscoring draw with Crystal Palace, after taking an early 2 goal lead we quickly threw that away in the second half conceding 3 quick goals before RVP stepped off the bench to grab his first goal of the season and a late equalizer.
We then faired much better in our next couple of matches with comfortable wins over Burnley and Sunderland with our attacking trio of Januzaj, Valencia and Mata on fire whilst youngster Munir managed to grab his first goal for the club.

Quarter of the way through the season and were moving up the table and only a few points off the top next up is the big Manchester derby before we also face fierce rivals Liverpool in a huge month for our top 4 aspirations.

Guessing you might cash in on the agreed price for Falcao ;)

So we started the month easily losing the Manchester Derby with Luke Shaw scoring a mere late consolation goal late on before getting back on track with a win against Tottenham with their former player Vertonghen scoring his first goal for us.
We then went out and dominated QPR in a comfortable 4-0 win before young centre back Balanta scored a late equalizer to earn us a draw against another rival in Liverpool.

Up to 5th spot now and only one place off that all important Champions League spot we desperately need with the likes of Jones, Rafael and Mata all asking to leave the club if we dont attain Champions League football this season.

so many up and downs this month with the loss in the Manchester Derby but keep it going!

An unbeaten month but we really should have won all 6 league games this month not just 4. My wingers run rampart against Stoke with Di Maria really shining for the first time this season along with Januzaj whos looking a class player.
We then had Di Maria to thank again for putting us into an early lead against West Brom but it seemed inevitable that recently scouted striker Berahino would get a goal back late on. We then live on TV and at Old Trafford destroyed Newcastle in a 5-0 romp with Jan Vertonghen the unlikely 2 goal hero. We were quickly brought back down to earth with a terrible draw against Swansea with the difference in chances ridiculous as we had 37 to their 4 chances on goal but still ended in a draw.
We soon got back on track with an easy win over West Ham on Boxing Day with Wayne Rooney finally getting on the scoresheet after a torrid time in recent months. We ended the month and year with another 3-1 win over Hull with Summer Signings Falcao and Di Maria combining again.

All the way up to 3rd but Man City look unbeatable 10 points clear with a game in hand, Falcao has also been knocked off the top spot of the Golden Boot chart with Aguero taking his place but Vertonghen has one of the best Average ratings whilst Mata and Januzaj have a shed load of assists.

Winter Transfer Window - Jan 2015

So i only brought the one player in and that was midfield general Victor Wanyama, Ive liked him since his Celtic days and feel he will add some much added steal to my wimpy midfield and has a mega shot in him too.

Victor Wanyama - CM - £21Million

Well i tried to get rid of a shed load of different players from Fellaini, Herrera and Rooney but once i was told by the board that my transfer revenue made available will go down to 10% for new players so it seems almost pointless in getting rid of anyone at this point. I did manage to loan a couple of youth players out and see Ashley Young finally ****** off.
