What he means is "Liverpool didn't have enough money to pay for the wages we wanted"

I'm glad you've gone anyway, numerous amounts of red cards, stupid free-kicks near enough every game. Hope you enjoy your years of not getting first team football each week, you'd have got that here.

This thread is about Liverpool.. It's common sense that the Liverpool fans will be the ones around the thread.

And who're you to talk about 'trolling' you seem to be the best at that job on this site.

They're 2 different players. So you can't really judge, they both do different things.

gotta agree...
He was a luxury player for Liverpool anyway and cost them with his fouls and cards..
Remember his sending off at Old Trafford?
I still think he got that red card on purpose cos he didn't fancy the game...

The players both play in different positions, and have different jobs. You can't really compare them.

Ones probably the best DM in the world an Argentina captain. The others a quality all rounder. Masch is a better player though at what he does.

This.

Regardless of who is better than who, Mascherano clearly cannot pass as well as Meireles can and the same vice-versa in aggressive, yet decisive tackling that can make or break an opposition's attack.

Even so, Liverpool's takeover happened long after NESV came in, and they missed out because of the financial situation. It's gone, it's dusted and Liverpool are getting back on their feet. They have other players available in the transfer market than Mascherano.

Well, that's arguable, but they don't play the same midfielder role so they can't really be compared.

Lucas is more the kind of player Masch is and Lucas has arguably been our best player so far this season, so I think we'll manage.

btw, the Liverpool staff convinced Torres to stay numerous times, but he still left, so what's the point?
If a player doesn't want to play for the club then why keep him?

I miss Mascherano. I miss Alonso. They both left in reasonably honourable ways and were key to successes we had. Torres though, was a ***** about the whole thing. Glad to see him gone now, he could have at least acknowledged the Liverpool players, but instead, slated them. Good riddance.

Exactly.. Masch is a better player at what he does Meireles doesn't do what Masch does therefor it's unfair to compare the two players.

But with ask yourself this.. Out of the two who would you want? One being a players who doesn't decided whether he actually wants to give it his all until the game has already started and gives away free-kicks all the time, has been given red cards and yellow cards near enough every game. Or on the other hands a player who can pass, create things, score goals and give it his all each time he puts the shirt on.

I know which one I'd rather have.

Think everyone is underrating Maschs passing. Obvious he's no Alonso but he can pass.
