Wonder if someone could help me out understand something. I'm playing as Arsenal and i choose to play attacking strategy against most teams. I'm confused as to why counter attacking is set on "yes" in the attacking variant of the tactical strategy? I would think counter attacking would only be on if you're playing counter attacking football? Also, if i'm playing with big team such as Arsenal, do i have to make any specific tweaks to width when in attacking strategy or are the defaults enough for that particular strategy.

im also playing arsenal, near the end of my second season.
this is what i put for team instructions

formation : 4-2-3-1
philosophy : very fluid
strategy: control

passing: more direct or shorter ( ur assistant recommendation's will tell u while playing)
freedom: more disciplined
closing down: default
tackle: default (or look at what assistant says)
marking: man
crossing: drill
roaming: default
defense line: *
width: *
tempo: *
focus pass: mixed
counter: yes
offside: yes

play-maker: some one like cese, nasri, ashavn, rosicky
target man: rvp, chamck, or bentdner
supply: run onto ball

*: ur assistant manager will tell u about these parts in pre match meeting. really usefull. with those, i actually beat barca with 4 goals :0

the ones on bold are really effective.

i'm still unbeatable in epl with this tactic :)

yes, so 4 defenders, 2 center mids, 2 wingers and 1 attacking mid, and one striker

according to the current arsenal line up in the match against wigan

sanga ---- djouro ---- kkoslencly --- clichy
cese---- song
wallcot - jack - nasri
rvp
