Hey, well first off thanks to Harry for the epic thread name XD Also thanks to everyone that followed my old Portsmouth thread where I sadly lost the saved game, saying 'unable to load' all the time. So I will be starting a new Portsmouth story, and hope it will last for a long time and I will be using 3 rolling saves, thanks to the advice of Luke So here we go.
Life long supporter takes charge:
After Former Chelsea and Portsmouth manager Avram Grant was suspended from football after the supposed 'Brothel Scandal', life long Portsmouth fan Max King has taken charge of his home town club, Portsmouth. King will have a extremely tough job at hand with on and off the pitch problems, with new owners coming and going, and no money being injected, he will have to be careful in all areas of the club. King was quoted saying - "I think it's well documented that we have problems here, I'm don't know how long I will be here for, the board have told me I'm the caretaker manager and I could be replaced at any time, so I just have to do the best job I can for however long I'm here for. There are some really talented football players here that, if played the right way, can be lethal. You've got the likes of O'Hara, Boateng, Kaboul, Dindane, David James, Finnan and many more here, who all bring many different qualities to the side. There is a good mix of youth and experience, but sadly with that mix there is no finances available, so we have to work hard to keep the club going and maybe pick up one or two free transfers along the way. The club has also got probably the smallest stadiums in the Premier League which doesn't help the cash flow either. There are a lot of problems here and I could go on and on, but all I need to do is keep the club from relegation and keep the faith".
King happy with squad:
Pompey caretaker manager Max King has said he has no real ambitions in the transfer market, and if he does find any reason to buy, he will have to sell. With most free agents such as Ebi Smolarek who went to At.Madrid in the summer, and Bolo Zenden arriving at Premier League rivals Sunderland, there is not much of a cheap market about.
Updates soon..
