Bored of FM recently so to spice it up and I changed the way I usually play (plug and play).

I began to set my team up based on the opposition scout report and their weakest formation.

Going very well so far domestically and facing Dortmund in UCL quarter finals.

Team Instructions and mentality stay the same.

No player instructions.

Only the formation changes.

Assistant does training.

No OIs/team talks.

I play FMC which is set up for multiple tactics as the is no tactic fluidity (something that should be brought into the full version in my opinion)

Sure he done something like this last year?
On one patch yes then it stopped working after an update

I will try with different teams and maybe on full game later.

Once three tactics are fully fluid the only bit that should drop fluidity should be Formation. I think anyway.. very rarely play full version

Try it with a team which is not expected to win the league, preferably in one of the big leagues. Would be interesting to see the results.

I imagine squad building using this would be a ton of fun as you'd need every player to be extremely versatile.

This is how FM is meant to be played
The boring thing is just, its not like "real life" cause u will use different players all the time in different forms so it will be hard to build your squad and keep it in a fair rotation

But this is a very effective way of playing FM.
You barely need tactics, just look at your opponent. There are other parameters than vulnerable formation too, but as you see, only going by that can give you an easy win

Yes, but your tactics surely can't be those default ones, even though they're countering AI?

Even the tactics you use have to be good and tweaked before you can use them as "vulnerable to AI". You can't just see scout report and load a corresponding default tactic from the drop-down menu.

EDIT: Also, when you play in a league where one tactic massively prevails, like English lower leagues, almost every team will be "vulnerable" to the same tactic since most goals they conceded by the same tactic because everyone plays it!

FANTASTIC PROJECT... KEEP TESTING IT... I WILL HELP WITH TEST... NEED MORE TACTICS...
I WOULD ADD TO IMPORTANT LIST.... DR AND DL TAKE CORNERS

Interesting.. Going to give this a little test. What mentality/structure did you use in your Ajax save?

Dominating with Ajax and Holland so starting a new FMC save to test out the newest versions.

On work pc I got promoted with Valladolid in Spain then finished 3rd and qualified for Champions League.
(will post screenshot on Monday)

Found on that save and latest Ajax season that removing Lower Tempo produced slightly better results.

Whether these basic tactics work across various leagues and teams remains to be seen but this method has revitalised my interest in FM15

Try it with a Conference team. Almost everyone plays 442 there so the scout report is going to say they're vulnerable to 442 90% of the time.

I see these files are by the legend that is/was W4NKER. I saw this when I import the files, it has his name next to them on Steam. Are you him or have you tweaked his tactics?
