Merging countries? mass editing?

Hi Everyone.

I would like to know how to merge countries using Editor 2010. i want to merge certain countries such as wales+england, qatar+uae, egypt+algeria, (just an example) so that the players have the same national team. is it possible? as far as i know, you cannot create a new country.

one alternative is to edit the players of one nation and change their country, but this is just so much work. how can i mass edit a whole country's players at once without doing it one by one...?

your help would be much much appreciated.

that is the way i did it to make my Southern Hemisphere, Caribbean and Oceanian databases. But you're right. It's very time consuming

Yes you can,but it is very time consuming,tried it during my holiday's and I spent a week doing it,and it was my hols so I had loads of spare time

would doing a find and replace on all of the .xml files that come with the game work?

Me too, if there is a way of editting in a text editor it would be amazing
