Messi not winning world player of the year in the first season

Yup, Ronaldo won it.

Every single save i've had, Messi has won the world player of the year in the first season. This time, on my Barcelona save, Ronaldo won with Messi 2nd.

Stats for this season are
Messi 26 games, 28 goals, 12 assists, 8.21 average rating
Ronaldo 24 games, 27 goals, 9 assists, 8.18 average rating

Nothing really to seperate them, so is it something in the new patch to not make Messi win it every year?

I've seen Ronaldo, Rooney and Iniesta win it ahead of Messi, although 8/10 Messi still wins it.

He was 2nd one season.. behind Xavi !!!

My first season Messi injured his cruciate and played 5 games in the season so Cavani won, Xavi 2nd and Damiao 3rd

Its quite suprising really, I thought it was like part of the game that he'd win in the first season, he always wins it even though he doesn't play that well. With me he destorys every game he plays and finishes 2nd!

in one of my saves messi wasn't even nominated for it, and ronaldo didn't place either, xavi won, cavani came second and i can't remember who but it was another barca player in third, possibly villa.
