messi's messy stats

in my barca save, messi's stats started dropping in age 24, not dramatically, but a few crucial stats dropped by 1 point. then when he turned 25, his pace dropped to 15 from 16.
so i have two question:
is it possible i see a big difference between current pace to his old pace?
the ones who manged barca, did he decline the same way for you too?

I think it's either his training that's doing it or he's passed his peak and burned out, and it can happen at a young age if Barca used him alot while he was young.

Or it just happens and in a while he should get them back.

It seems like the game doesn't like certain players - Messi is one of them, his stats start dropping very early in every game I played so far (didn't coach him yet). Even worse it's with Lukas Podolski, 2-3 seasons after start his stats drop up to 40-50% and he is kicked out of the national team and you can buy hin for 500k €

problem is, the stats didn't drop for two weeks, as it sometimes happens, they stayed there for two years already.
i tried to give messi quickness training, it didn't help.
so, to my second question, is it me or is it possible messi's pace visibly diminished in my game because his pace dropped from 16 to 15?

for me it was the same story though his pace is still at 15 at 29 so it's not all bad

I had the same problem with Trochowski. Although he was playing regularly and had no complaints about his training, his stats suddenly dropped. Funny thing is his performance never dropped.

I noticed that aswell on my game. His stats had dropped ridiculously fast. Every technical apart from finishing was under 10, and this was before even hitting 30.
