Midfield and Defence

Hi,
I have just got FM09 and decided to manage my local side Dagenham & Redbridge. I keep getting a message at the end of the game from my assistant manager re the team. He is indicating that the midfield and defence are to far apart and the oppo can exploit. How can I rectify this?

put in a DMC into your formation.

Yes just make your midfielders (central preferably) a bit less attacking and it should rectify that problem.

Don't have too much of a gap in the mentality in any parts of the formation.
So if your defence is on a mentality of 4 don't put your midfield on 15 for example.

Just putting a DMC into your formation won't necessarily be the best thing to do.

Anyway, I usually just ignore the *** man's advice and run my own show.
