Midfielder not being involved in the game

Hello,

I have a midfielder that is 20 years old and his stats are off the charts for the role deep lying playmaker. Still he doesnt seem to perform in this role, or any other role, on the midfield. He barley reaches a 7 in rating during games, maybe once every 5th game. What should i do to get him more

involved?

I wouldn't play him as a deep lying playmaker. He has 20 for flair and his player traits are: gets into opposition area and tries killer balls often which would mean he'd be more effective in the CAM role.
