The Rossoneri were founded by an English lace-maker in 1899 called Herbert Kilpin. It has spent the majority of its existence in the Italian Serie A, with only two years of Serie B in the 1980’s. The club has won over 18 international titles and tied with Boca Juniors as the most in the world. Milan are tied with Internazionale in second place behind Juventus as the most eve titles. Milan have only not won the UEFA Cup. The games they play are at the San Siro which is shared with rivals Internazionale. The Club has only spent two years in Serie B. Milan have won four world recognised titles, which is more than any other club in the world. This is attributed to their three Intercontinental Cup victories and FIFA Club World Cup in which they won in 2007. Milan have snatched a European Cup from other competitors on a sterling seven occasions, only outshone by Real Madrid. The club is the 3rd most successful in Serie A and are well known for their competitive nature. Of late, a downward trend in performance standard has led fans to question the presidential skills of a once loved Silvio Berlusconi. Under Maximilliano Allegri, can the club rise to the challenge despite a small transfer budget and a heavily ageing squad?

Red and Black have represented Milan for generations. They were chosen due to Milans fiery nature and opponents pure fear to challenge them. For many years, the badge of the Rossoneri was simply the flag of the region of Milan. The star above their logo was awarded after they had won ten titles. ACM is an acronym for Associazione Calcio Milan and 1899 at the bottom of the badge is their founding year. From the dutch trio of the late 80’s to Andriy Shevchenko and Kaka, amazing players have donned the kit and become legends. Their strip had always been white throughout history, and is considered to be a lucky streak when playing in Champions League Finals. This is proven as from the games they have played in home strip they have only won one game of three. A common nickname given to the club due to their home strip is Il Diavolo or the Devil. This was embraced and an image of a red revil was used as a logo at one point in time with the famous Golden Star above it when the club won its tenth title.

ambrosini-1.png

Ambrosini was born in 1977 in Marche and currently captains Milan. He is renowned for aerial ability and his firm tackling. He signed for Milan in 1995 under Fabio Capello. After spells of loans, Ambrosini was given the chance to break the first team place in 1999 when Milan won the Scudetto. After a series of injuries, he was only able to make 20 Serie A appearances in 2003 and 04 season. In March 2005, he renewed a contract committing the defensive midfielder to the club until 2008.

Under Maldini’s captainship, he made 22 Serie A appearances in the 2004 and 2005 season and scoring one goal, with that goal being the late Winner that took Milan to the UEFA Champions League Final in Istanbul against Liverpool. Ambrosini missed the final in Istanbul due to a minor injury and aggressive midfielder Gattuso took his place. Injuries once again in the 2005 and 2006 season once again hindered his progress and led him to a mere 13 Serie A appearances and heavily overshadowed by an in form Gennaro Gattuso. This also removed Ambrosini from the Italy squad in the Germany World Cup.

Under Ancelotti’s guidance at the beginning of the 2006 and 2007 season, Ambrosini recovered from his injury yet wasn’t an immediate first team choice, but after a range of extravagant performances he made it to the first team as Ancelotti changed his formation to a 4-3-2-1. He was a decisive factor in victories against Bayern Munchen and Manchester United in the Champions League, and provided a balancing catalyst as his precise vision ensured Milan a finals place, as Ambrosini stole the ball from Ryan Giggs, he layed a through ball to Alberto Gilardino who scored and made it 3-0 to end United hopes.

Due to lack of first team choice, there were rumours that Ambrosini was intending to join Fiorentina, yet changed his mind after the aforementioned semi final. He subsequently renewed his contract until 2010. After that, he started the final of 2007 Champions League and played a strong game, providing a leadership role in midfield as Milan were victorious 2-1 over Liverpool. In Maldini’s absence, Ambrosini was a stand in captain for the Super Cup Final against UEFA Cup Winners Sevilla, which Milan went on to win 3-1.
As Maldini succumbed to injury in the 2007 and 2008 season, Ambrosini became captain. He scored decisive goals against Empoli and Palermo and played well in the Milan derby. Despite a strong season, Milan finished fifth and qualified for the UEFA Cup. During the 2008 and 2009 Serie A campaign, Ambrosini made a large impact and made an impressive 26 appearances in Serie A. This season is stated by Ambrosini as the most memorable for him as he netted eight goals, the one he denotes the best is a brace against Roma in a 3-2 loss which was also Maldini’s last game at the club, and received a standing ovation despite being sent off for a second yellow.

On the 6th of July in 2009 during pre season Milan training, Ambrosini was named as the captain of the club as the armband was personally handed over by Paolo Maldini. During September in 2009 he renewed his contract to the 2011 season.

pirlohq.png

The image of Andrea Pirlo flicking his hair back before as casual jog up to the ball at the corner flag is iconic in the history of Italian football. Pirlo joined Milan in 2001 and has taken thousands of corners, creating chance after chance for his team mates. After three seasons at bitter rivals Inter, Pirlo was sold to Milan for 36 million.

His deal was made to encourage false profit and inflate transfer fee’s. It was at Milan where he reached his strides, winning a Scudetto and two Champions League titles. On top of this he has also won an Italian cup and two UEFA Super Cups.

Pirlo began his career at Milan as an offensive midfielder until coach Carlo Ancelotti developed the midfielder into a deep playmaking role. He sets the teams entire rhythm. He led Serie A in four different categories in the 2002 and 2003 season. These categories led are 2589 passes played, the most ball possession for a single player with 123 hours and 29, 661 successful balls and 2093 successful passes, with an average of 90 passes per game. In 2007 he was nominated for FIFA World Player of the Year but team mate Kaka won the honour.

ronaldinhohq-1.png

In July 2008, Ronaldinho denied a 50 million dollar offer from Manchester City to join Milan on a three year contract. With the number 10 already taken by Seedorf, he selected 80 as it was his birth year.

Ronaldinho scored his first Serie A goals for Milan in a 1-0 derby win over Inter in 2008. He further got a brace in a 3-0 victory over Sampdoria and a 93rd minute match winner against Braga in the UEFA Cup on November 6th. He finished his first season with Milan with a 10 goal haul from 32 appearances. After such a positive start, Ronaldinho struggled with fitness and was benched as Milan finished a disappointing season.

His second season once again did not begin well, even though he started every match before finding himself benched. After some time, Ronaldinho discovered great form and was voted Milans best player of the season and changed his role from an attacking midfielder to a left winger. On the 10th of January in 2010, Gaucho scored two against Juventus in a 3-0 victory from the Rossoneri. His highest momest came against Siena when Ronaldinho scored his first hat trick for Milan after converting a spot kick, hitting a header and finishing a wonderous 30 yard effort with ease of his Barcelona days.

Milan were unfortunate to be defeated 3-2 in the Champions League clash against Manchester United as Ronaldiho opened the scoring a mere 5 minutes in. As of the start of April in 2010, Ronaldinho is the assist leader of Serie A with an impressive 13 assists, yet has missed 3 penalties in the 2009/10 season. He ended the season scoring two goals against Juve in Leonardos last game in charge. This season hopefully him and Pirlo will convert spot kicks and free kicks as well as perform well on the field

Ronaldinho became renowned for his free kicks after his 2002 effort over David Seaman. Pirlo is a proven free kick taken. In July 2008, Ronaldinho denied a 50 million dollar offer from Manchester City to join Milan on a three year contract. With the number 10 already taken by Seedorf, he selected 80 as it was his birth year.

At least try to downsize your posts, this is all very pretty and all but, it's very long ..

sorry i will eventually, it is from one of my old fifa manager mode forum posts and i guess they expect a lot more detail over there

copy and paste into google all you want mate, everything is hand written except for the history :)

You've basically just re-worded Wikipedia's opening paragraph for your Club Information section. Not that there's anything wrong with that.

its a decent source of information and paraphrasing is perfectly fine but thanks for the feedback man :)

Though I've said that; there is something wrong with lying.

You haven't paraphrased, you've just copied and pasted it from Wikipedia and edited every couple of words to pass it off as your own. I don't mind you doing that, and I don't think anyone does. But don't say "Type it in on Google, it's all hand written." Because your lying. And why? Pointless lie, really.

Anyway, rant over.

Good luck with your story. :)

Don't discourage people from putting effort into their stories. This is what people should be doing.

Good luck, brilliant detail, love the layout.

:$ now that you mention it, it isnt the san siro, i must have uploaded the wrong picture in photobucket.

I did write it by myself, using wikipedia as a source, there was no copying- i typed it all

update coming soon :)

I approve of the detail. Nothing at all wrong with that. Very good opening. I started a gamenwith AC Milan last night, so will compare my results and (hopefully) successes with yours.

Looks good and those things for the different position sectors looks amazing.

Very good opening, don't mind all the keyboard warriors that think slating your post makes them look cool. Some very nice graphics and written pieces there too. Everyone should do stories like this instead of "oh fergie resigns, new rookie manager steps up follow this plz".

Looking forward to the update ;)
