Hi

I have a quick question player i am wanting to buy has a release clause of €60m for clubs in champions league

I am currently in champions league & sitting in Top 3 in current premier league season with Everton
the game is currently in January transfer market

The problem i have is Porto are not accepting my bid of €60m & wanting nearly double €116m

normally a player who has a release clause once you match the amount it states so in transfer bid (2nd screenshot)

I am just wondering why this is ??

The only thing i can think is the player is with a club still in knockout stages of Champions league & if i buy him he is not available for champions league for me. but i don't understand the release clause then cause it states for clubs in champions league

Can anyone advise

a clause like that means he a championsleague club can buy him if his current club didnt qualify for cl themself, IIRC

will be hard since porto most likely will always be in the CL

small hint, on the left side of the negotiations where your estimated ffp balance and so on is, there would be a mentioning of his release clause whenvever the conditions to trigger it are met
