Is it worth it to attempt a long term youth save in the MLS?

The fact that youth academies (the feeder clubs you sign youths from) can't really be upgraded, plus the Superdraft model where you pick in reverse order of your league position just makes it seem not worth the try. Even though it's really interesting to try to promote youths in USA.

If you are looking for a long term challenge its a good place to play. Try to win the Club World Cup with an MLS team. Youth development might not be the same but you can still get some pretty good regens.

youth academies can produce surprisingly good players, superdraft is pretty hopeless though. You should soon be able to develop good young players and give them lots of playing time as MLS standard isn't really great. With some clever signings and transfer activity you can really dominate the league from day one as AI struggles to cope with all roster rules, salary cap and league structure.
