monthly installments?

ok so i've always been playing in LLM on fm09 but for my last game i thought id have some fun and play as man city. When trying to sell players of any reasonable value, even a couple of million, all the offers i receive are in monthly installments and if i try and negotiate a lump sum it gets withdrawn.

is this just the norm now?

Yes this is very common from clubs, particularly in the first season as they don't seem to have the hard cash for a money in hand deal.

so just best to take those offers rather than wait around for a lump sum offer?

i always try not to accept them..

i reject and say offer isnt good enough, they then either change it or withdraw
