You've got a team full of below-average players in every position, ideally you would like to buy a whole new team, but you can only bring in one new player, what position would you improve?

A CM perhaps? Someone who can help out both in offense and defense.

CM the heart of the team get a CM that can boss the midfield should make life easier

Definately a CM, a top class playmaker or a Box to Box player.

When building a team I always start off with a strong goalkeeper first.

my answer in IRL would be a goalkeeper, but on FM it's a striker, whenever I get promoted it's the first thing I look for, goals keep you up.

It depends onwhat you want.A good CM cand make you good chances but if you dont have the striker then youll miss alot of chances. Also a good Striker can bag a lot of goals but if the CM isnt verry good then you wont get the chances.Id say you get a combo of a good playmaker and striker.Better this way :D

Goalkeeper - if you keep a clean sheet you can't be beaten. You might nick a goal at set-pieces etc.

A top class box to box CM :) he makes the rest of the team look good. Like gerrard has done at liverpool for years before.

I always use to get a new striker when starting with a new team, or even at the start of each season. But I've been thinking maybe I should start with a decent goalkeeper or CD. I believe having a good keeper wins you games. I've had Joe Hart in goal in the past and he has made save after save in games. Games that I should have easily lost, but won because of him.

Striker or possibly playmaker, depending what's available.

Striker. Winning teams, score goals. How many times have we seen teams miss out on wins, get relegated etc, because they don't score enough. At the end of the day it doesn't matter if you concede 10, as long as you score 11.

Definitely a CM. Someone who can perform well with either a box to box role or as a deep lying playmaker.

its Keeper :) by miles.....

I injured my arm 3 weeks ago playing indoor (we are the 2nd best team in the league and won a few regional tournaments) I am keeper :)

they lost every game I was not playing, came back 2 weeks ago, have not lost 1 :)

great teams are determined by great Keepers and in rugby, great Fly Halfs like Dan Carter etc...
