Mourinho to step down at end of season?

It's fun to think of him at Arsenal.

But he doesn't fit our business model.

He would want to break the bank, and we are simply too frugal.

Hmmm. Not buying it yet. Source is not strong enough.

Can see it happening, though. Madrid' politics are way beyond messed up right now, no matter their league position.

Hmmm, if he does go the only club of a similar standing of madrid (apart from barcelona) would be Man Utd, anything else would be a step down for Jose- I'd be interested to see what he does.

Liverpool probably have a bigger reputation and more fans worldwide than Madrid, though i hope he wouldn't step foot near anfield, I like the guy

No way. Madrid have one of the biggest fan base, it is between them, Barca and ManUtd. And you can't question their reputation, despite not winning much in the last few years they are the most glamorous club.

Are you serious? Liverpool more than madrid? Don't get me wrong Liverpool are the 2nd biggest club in England and are a fantastic club, but they just dont compare to the size of Madrid, or the trophies they've won.

Madrid are the biggest club in the world. If he leaves, it won't be because he's looking for a 'step up'.

It'll be because he has had enough of the politics and backroom bickering within the club.

Honestly, Madrid never had a very a tactful approach, I remember when they made "clean-ups" with the Dutch players there like VdV and Sneijder, didn't do them any good. They are being extremely ungrateful towards Mourinho, saying he's making "portuguese clans" in the club. As if he needed it to win, this year they'll most likely win the league, Barcelona are still a better team in direct confrontation though. But if he leaves them it would be deserved, but honestly I do not see that happening, I'd say the likely scenario is that he stays there until 2014, then SAF retires and he takes up his job.

i wonder on what basis the talks of unrest/bickering within the club are going on...Last time I checked, the media (the ones who are doing the bickering) aren't part of the club... I'd say the club is much more peaceful since the days of Ramon Calderon.. Obviously you cannot expect things to go like a fairytale with Mourinho around

Manchester United and Arsenal are the most likely choices.
