Move Staff?

A world class First Team Coach just became available, about to sign him, but is it possible to move one of my current First Team Coaches to become a normal Coach instead?

as far as i know the only way to do it is to offer him a contract in the new role and hope he accepts.

He rejected it, He doesn't want to be demoted.
