Hello All,

I have recently installed FM09 on one computer but will shortly need to install this onto a new system.

What is the easiest way to do this? I noticed there is a backup file option on Steam, can I just back up and then install on the new system. Will this also take my saved games, tactics etc...

Thanks for any advice.

Just instal it like you installed the it the first time. You shoudl also unisntal it properly on the old computer to get your license back.

To transfer save games, graphics etc just copy the whole of the fm 2009 folder in the si folder in my docs

Thanks for your help, I was just trying to avoid downloading the game again if I could just back up.

ah youve downloaded the game.

You coudl try copying it over from the steam folder, not sure if that will work though

The Steam backup creates a setup file for you to burn to a CD/DVD that will allow you to just install it. As far as I'm aware though your user data folder won't be backed up, so just put that on another CD or on a USB stick etc..
