Mr Langvatn FM16 Tactic Center

My friend just posted this to me on skype, completed one full season with the Shadow Ninjas. Not too bad I think.

Also Mr L, when you test them have have the players "freeze" at perfect conditions, does this mean during the match they do not deteriorate? As surely this would also give the test team an unfair advantage over all opponents.

No, they will just bounce back up to 100% after the match.

Like in my previous statement, the test team must be considered a top team by now, so I will look to create a new test database which is much harder. Which team do you control and what's your team cohesion level?

*chuckle* I control Gloucester City in 2025 and my team cohesion is "they go through fire for each other" (tbh, I dont know the English equivalent, I play in Dutch).

Ok :) I dunno then mate, give it time so your players get used to their new roles maybe :) I've re-tested, re-tested and re-tested, and I get very stable results in both my personal liverpool save and in the test save. My FM friends on Skype also send me good results from it. Although none of them test singular matches, they send me season results. So I guess the clue is to give it time to get working for your team. It's a good tactic for sure.

4-4-2 Shadow Ninjas

4-4-2 Shadow Ninjas (If someone likes this formation better) - Still very good!

In progress still, so might come a tweak or two before release to front page :)

got 7 goals in 3 matches. With AC Milan with 4-3-3 shadow ninjas. Romagnoli has avarage 5.9 rating. Cohesion is good. Scored 4 goals, 1 draw 2 lose. I know need time for the tactic, but never had worse start in serie A like this with Milan. Btw the passing and chance creation is look great. Just the defending what is a nightmare for me.

The current patch is just so random.. In the test I have removed much of the random elements, but still can go from 8-0 win to a 5-3 loss if reload and play again.. It's just horribly random. It's very hard to create/test tactics in such an ME, cause I can have a fantastic full season here, and someone else might have bad luck and get a bad run of games. However, in the long run, the luck will even out. That's why a full season test is sort of like minimum needed.

Btw, the 4-3-2-1 midfield dominatrix tactic is great in Italy. A friend of mine won the league first season with Sassuolo (spelling right?) or something.

433 Ninja works good for my. Althought, I'm doubting to change one of the shadow strickers (the one in the middle) to an attacker.
If so, which role should I give him? False 9? Complete attacker at support?

I'm not sure it works with an attacker at all. If anything, a false nine or a DLF will probably work best.

For those of you that had problems in the back, try this maybe:

(I tested this in the custom db, and I beat Man Utd 4-0 away and Arsenal 5-1 away)

I haven't gotten big wins against smaller teams though, so maybe a combination of the two could be good, like a home/away or favourite/underdog tactic set. Will test more to see.

Differences are closing down from much higher to much less on the whole defense + the CM (also a change of role of the CM, from CM-support to DLP-defend). Also, removed exploit the middle TI.

Lol, a guy in FM-Norway on facebook posted this result from the 4-2-3-1 Spin the Wheel tactic:

In light of many people posting success with the 4-2-3-1 spin the wheel, i will apply set piece tweaks and defense tweaks to it, see what happens...

Spin the Wheel 4-2-3-1 v2

Spin the Wheel 4-2-3-1 with no other changes than defending + attacking corners, throw-ins and freekicks.

I will now look into further tweaks of it!

4-2-3-1 v3

4-2-3-1 Spin the Wheel v3

This one has some more changes than the v2, to make it up to date on my overall findings this patch.

I will now test this one for a good amount of games.. I appreciate if someone is willing to give it a run in some games to help me :)

(Note: Still under construction)

If you can also try different structure/fluidity settings, I would be glad to achieve that information. I have a hard time deciding that one.. Very Fluid and Structured have worked well so far here.

Edit: tested some more, and seems like very fluid is the stronger of the two..
