Mr Langvatn FM16 Tactic Center

Well, 4-4-2 is "the best formation" in the current ME :) My goal with the 4-3-3 wasn't to make "the best tactic", it was to make the best of what was possible with that formation, and it's made to score as many goals as possible with a good team :)

But, I do believe that the 4-3-3 works as an underdog tactic also, just not in the EPL, because of a lot of counter-formations there (a lot of wide play).

Try it in Spain, Italy, France, Germany, etc :)

I love you I love 4-3-3 mark many many object to the way ZEMAN very large master coach thank you for doing a tactic that privileged offensive
link Chinese 4-4-2?
yet I find this year very easy by the BPL Hours of Operation to another championship

16th :P But im a loyal follower of ur tactics so would love it if u tried to make an awesome underdog tactic. As of now the date 442 china thingy beats all other underdog tactics.. Im at 2nd place with Bournemouth with it. (2 matches to go)

Have you tried my 4-4-2 yet? :)

Updated testing environment

I'll leave this message here as well (from the tactic testing thread) :

Hey guys! Just letting you know we have a new testing environment and an updated testing database now
:) In this test, we use the program "FM fitness coach" to freeze morale and fitness for the whole league, not only the test team! So this will increase accuracy by a lot! In addition, this program removes injuries if they happen, automatically (very rarely that happens, but it can happen). Due to this, we now have the possibility to increase the number of matches tested, and that is what we have done. The test now has 186 matches tested per tactic! We will then also move on from simulating matches to holidaying them (after extensive testing we found out that simulate match = holiday for 1 match, same results, same everything - retested same tactic over 10 times - full seasons - to be sure). Results would of course be more accurate if playing the matches ourselves, but 186 matches tested on holiday / simulate match is without a doubt more accurate than 30 matches playing every match. In addition, this has given us the option of having two test teams in the league, one with CA145 and one with CA120. We will then combine these two results in the end (93 matches per team).

All this results in a much harder test, and also a much more stable testing environment (due to fm fitness coach for the whole league). We will most likely see other teams performing very consistently every test. My own tactics, at least the attacking ones, will most likely be butchered to small pieces by this warmachine of a tactic test, but I have high hopes for my 4-4-2 :) There will probably never be a tactic that gets first place with either team though, and some will be in the relegation area with the CA120 team (depending on how weak it is for underdogs).

Will do when i get home tonite (long day at work)

I've finished testing Date, both with and without OI's, and my own 4-4-2 in the new testing environment (a really hard underdog test, with 186 matches tested). The Date tactic and my 4-4-2 has almost identical results. So I will now update my 4-4-2 with the newest findings in set pieces and make a v2 of it :)

Good job mate! I would suggest to use something like Jesseh's macro instead of holiday mode and please share your test save if possible, that would be even more transparent.

U did this already or is it coming soon?

Hey Mr Langvatn

Will you share your database or testing save that we all can test?

Thanks!

Still working on improving accuracy in the new database. Have some problems I need to work out :)
Is there still a problem with the way certain opposition is countering your tactic. I remember you alluding to that previously hence why our 433 doesn't work in the PL for instance. Obviously understandable if you don't want to discuss considering your tactic testing database is under closed doors per say.

The 4-3-3 works in the EPL, just not as an underdog :) It's primarily a top team tactic made to score as many goals as possible :)

But it does work as an underdog in many other leagues :)

Mr Langvatn, I'm going to try your tactics and can't decided what tactic to use... What do you suggest?

This one should be good (haven't gotten around to testing the v2 yet though, but the only changes are set pieces, which SHOULD be to the better). The original can be found on the front page.
