August 2009 Review
Norton Sports kicked off the Kent Premier season against Holmesdale in front of a crowd of 98. With the game ending goaless, Mr.O'Connor hailed his new goalkeeper Kevin Duncan as the rock that stood between one point and none. Norton made the trip to Erith for the second game of the campaign, midfielder Ted Hart put the hosts infront within the first ten minutes but was cancelled out as David Jones equalised for Norton just before the break. The game ended 1-1, Mr.O'Connor has no comment to make after the game. To round of August Norton drew blank with Unibond side Willenhall. Although it was the new managers third draw in a row no one could deny that Norton pulled of one **** of a result against a superior opposition.

September 2009 Review
Just days after drawing blank with Willenhall at home, Norton were on the road travelling for the replay in the Fa Cup 2nd Qualifing round. Norton shocked Willenhall after Danny Gerrard fired home to put the under dogs into the next round. Returning to Kent Premier duties Norton found themselves back in the comfort of their own backyard to play a much favoured Deal side. To every bodies suprise just days after pulling off an upset against Willenhall, Norton were at it again, Fitzsimmons was brought down in the box to earn a penalty which he stepped up to take and put away to give Norton the three points. Norton were travelling to Erith again, this time to play Erith and Belvedere, little did anyone suspect the drama that was to unfold. Just 26 minutes into the game and centre back Steve Costello saw red for Norton leaving the team to play the remainder of the game with 10 men. Just before the break Norton were awarded a penalty which Gerrard put away confidently. Joey Fitzsimmons was then sent off in the 70th minute to reduce Norton to just 9 men with 20 minutes to go. Norton were then awarded another penalty on the 89th minute to seal up the game but was missed by David Jones, but Norton held strong to pick up all 3 points. The Fa Cup 3rd round qualifing saw Norton drawn away to Alliance League Alvechurch. David Jones scoring the only goal of the game to continue Nortons FA cup run. This was also Duncans 5th game without conceding a goal, one more and he will hold the new defensive record for Norton Sports.

More to come...
