Multiple Installations

I have a laptop and a desktop and what to install the game on both so i can play on the train to work and then at home. Is this possible before I try installing the game on either?

Yes you can use steam to play on as many computers as you wish to.

However steam requires an internet connection which probably won't be possible on the train.

In this case i suggest doing what the Redrup brothers did for FM 10 (i assume it will still work)

Install the game using steam on your desktop and then install the disc version on your laptop.

Thanks, do i need to have the CD in to play the game?

You will need the CD for your laptop, unless you use some mounting software like Daemon tools lite which will take an image of the CD and save it to the hard drive, for steam on your desktop, you wont ever need the disc again.
