Hi everyone, looking for some fresh eyes on this because I've hit the same wall three times now.
I'm in my first season with Real Madrid, playing a 4-2-3-1 with a high press and short passing. Against teams that come at us it works beautifully — we win the ball high, create loads of chances and most games are over by half time.
The problem is the low block. Against sides sitting in a 5-4-1 we finish with 65–70% possession, 20+ shots, and somehow draw 0-0 or lose 1-0 to a counter. My striker gets isolated, my number 10 drops too deep looking for the ball, and everything ends up going wide for hopeful crosses.
So far I've tried lowering the tempo, playing wider, and pushing one of my DMs into a Segundo Volante, but nothing has really unlocked it consistently.
For those of you who've cracked this in FM26 — do you change the shape completely for these games, or is it more about roles and instructions? Would a False Nine or a second striker make more sense here?
Any advice appreciated, this is costing me the title race at the moment!
