Ok so first off, I gather a good selection of staff my coaching is at a average of 4 stars on each attribute, I switch everyone in the starting eleven onto pre season training for the extra fitness, all is going well, until I play my first match, Not only did I have demichellis and ribery out injured before hand, I then have schweinsteiger and borowski out of comission after my first match, im now down to a starting 11 and 5 subs!! two of them are goalkeepers lol.
So anyways, I got some big transfers to pull out with only 17m to do it with, I am pretty much weak until the second half of the season until they come back from injury.
I have werder bremen and shalke to play before that too.
I signed Santon for right back and Alxis Sanchez to partner Luca Toni up front, ripped dundee united apart, scoreline of 7-1, Toni scoring 4 goals.
Had to change formation and passing style to accomadate the changes with a youth playmaker from the sub bench, hes 20 years old and performs better than borowski.
Doubt I will be back into the transfer market again this season, I have enough cover, all I can think is that my players were not used to the new fitness training I made and thus didnt agree with a couple of them, saying that though improvements are great.
My first proper test will be bremen in the league.
After securing a 7-1 win over dundee united, I lost 4 matches in a row, 3 of them friendlies...lot of tweaks happened and lost my first league game, my team are gaining 6.2 ratings, lucio 5.5 at the moment, I am totally baffled as to how I am now losing to lower teams after that huge win, Looks like a new tactic is needed and a totally rethink.
very embarassing I have to admit.
I have just sold Luca Toni for 15m, 5m more than what was paid for him in 2007, klose is due to go, he didnt go this transfer period because he was injured.
After 22 games I am lying 6th, Had a run where my tactics just werent working, squad has lost confidence in me and board are getting impatient, I have used someone elses tactic so nice work for it, It has got my average rating up and move me from 12th to 6th, I am still in german cup and champions league, I just qualified for group stages although I lost to roma in my final game due to a wrong team talk from me.
Borowski, Kroos, Lucio are doing great now.
