Jonnyswipe, Hi there!

You seem a realist as well as an optimist, a man out of the same mould as myself.

message Jassar, tell him your formation & he will advise on exactly what to do for corners, free kicks & throws. He will basically tell you what role to assign each player in your team & all of a sudden that corner problem you have going against you will go in your favour. He has changed my gaming experiences!

Hope this solves your problem

I am not sure this is necessary, I barely concede from corners with the original set up, I think the most I have conceded in 1 season since fm14 was released is 5, if you see mantorra's testing league this tactic conceded 0 corners in 28 games. It is very important though that your cb's are good in the air.

Congrats on a great tactic Callamity, i'm currently sitting in 4th place in the prem. after 17 games with Rochdale, I have gained promotion every season winning the Leagues .
I do have some issues... the amount of chances you need to create to score on some midiocre "I pretend i'm Buffon" keeper vs the few chances AI needs to score.
When the AI gets one send off, do you change mentality to overload? I have experienced that I create virtually 0 chances after AI are Down one man

I never change anything, ever. I find if im not creating chances that either my striker (the main creator) or my wide men are having a poor game and replace them. This usually is enough to change the game in my favour.

lost hope with it, finished 10th, 9th, 8th last 3 seasons with other tactics, sitting here getting blasted 3-0 at HT so leaky in defence one ball over the top goal, set piece goal...... so frustrating as it worked so incredibly well in the first season

Hi mate, I am sorry it is going so bad for you in these seasons, as stated in the OP this is not a win all games tactic, it is based on logic and not the ME it wasnt even created on 14.2. You have to develop your team to get the victories you require, its probably that all the bigger sides in the league are still much stronger than your team is. If you want a quick solution tactic which wins everything yo'll have to look elsewhere xD sorry

hi cal,
i just started the season with your tactic, and it's looks good
i start over 10 matches friendly begin in june, and just 2 draws, the rest was won
i've a litttle concerned, why there is no player instruction in your tactic??
is it fine or maybe my download tactic wrong??
sorry for my bad english :)

I picked the roles in the team for how I wanted it to perform, the reason there is no player instructions is that these would alter how the players play and then it would not be the role I selected anymore. I would be better off changing the role than changing individual instructions.

What level should the players have in the recommended attributes?

I have been looking at players with 12 or more in the attributes you recommended.

this depends on which team you are, and what type of player your looking for, if you are title challenging and want a 1st teamer or a youth to develop etc, the attributes I have recommended are in order of importance the top line is more important than the middle or bottom, I'd say keep the top at 14+ and bottom around 10+ for premier teams.

In player roles, the keeper is listed as sweeper keeper but in the tactic itself he's just goalkeeper - is this correct?

I knew I forgot to fix something, He is supposed to be a regular goalkeeper

Cal that post you quoted of mine I went a bit bezerk but if you see a bit later in the posts I post a resolution that works for me.

With the corner situation I conceded 4 corners in ONE game, madness CBs have over 15 on jumping and heading! But the rest of the team is under 6ft could be the problem?

are your CB's tall too? I have trouble with Balanta if playing him CB at corners I concede all the time, I think he is 6ft. xD I normally have 2 cb's around around 6ft2 as a minimum, and my midfield triangle is usally around 6ft. This is out of personal preference although it does help at the set pieces :D

It would be my preference as well man but the best players I can get at my budget are all short ha one of my CBs is 6ft 5 and the other 6ft 2 midfield 3 are 5ft 11, 6ft, 5ft 9. Lukaku just destroyed me away from home 4 goals, 3 headers one corner!

In terms of the striker does he score a lot for you? Mine has 9 goals and his stats are immense, wondering whether I should get a PPM for placing shots or shoot with power may help his finishing

The striker is more of a creator than a scorer but usually bags abreast 30 per season. Your team should be doing better defensively, it's a strange one,

like I said its only big teams and you should see the squads they have in 2019, arsenal chelsea united and city are unreal!

I am confused as well, because I am winning but no one is really scoring 1-0's a lot of the time! Would love my striker to bag a few more/.

Is there any changes to the tactic, used it for a season with Wrexham in the Skrill, was walking the league up until jan,and then my team imploded, and i finished outside the play offs.i know its a cracking tactic because of my earlier success with York.

Try messing with the mentality as I put on a post on the previous page, worked wonders for me!

Opposition instructions

I use them, through the use of the assistant manager, I feel it brings more defensive stability by having specified instructions for individual threats.
Who's your assistant manager

Thanks, mate. My Warrenpoint Town side just won 7-0 away at league leaders Glenavon in the league cup.
LOL
Here's an interesting one. During that game, my keeper Parr took a knock but played on. My promising young keeper Corcoran was on loan at Glenavon but unable to play against me in the drubbing. I recalled him because of Parr's injury, he'd been in great form helping Glenavon to the top so I was looking forward to him playing for me. You can guess what happened. The next game was at home to Glenavon and they smashed me 5-1. The recalled keeper had a shocker.
