It changes depending on team I hire the best I can afford tactically.

Ok couple of questions: 1st what do you look for. Secondly can you post screen shot of your first team staff responsibilities please

In my assistant I look for determination, discipline, motivating, and tactical knowledge as they key attributes.
If i need him to take a spot in coaching then he would also have man management, mental and the desired coaching stat he needs for example tactics. an example of a decent assistant manager in my opinion would be mike lindeman from fulham

I'm going to give this a go with Stuttgart now after hearing nothing but glowing reports :) Unfortunately their 1st choice keeper (Ulreich) is useless for it, but i'm hoping that Werner could be similar to Fierro. Will have a closer look at their stats to see how applicable it is. I was using the Korea tactic for my Spurs save which went great, but started my Stuttgart save after the update and it has ruined those tactics :(

Just wondering if you had any thoughts on the Stuttgart team for this tactic?

Whoops forgot the most important question. On your GK attributes on the OP you don't mention rushing out as a necessary attribute, but on fm13 i thought this was the most important attribute for a sweeper keeper. Is it unnecessary, or does it just go without saying? :p

Werner would be a good player in this i think, i had him as a back up in a save and when i played him he done well but never really developed him to his potential. I dont know enough about the rest of the team though unfortunately

It should be changed to a regular keeper mate

ah okay, thanks mate. I had werner on my spurs save and just played him straight away from the beginning ofthe first season. He was meant to be an understudy to Soldado but he ended up scoring 25 goals in 34 appearances so had to drop Soladado! Pretty much the only reason I started a Stuttgart game :D

Thanks for the quick replies.

End of season update with the changes I made we finished 6th the highest we ever finished! 31 games in all comps 18 wins 9 draws and 4 losses (against United cup and league, chelsea and arsenal). Only conceded 23 in those in those 31 games with 8 of those coming in two losses against the big teams.

Been using this tactic for a bit on a longer-term save and I would have to say that if you use it, buying someone like Damiao right out of the gate (He's roughly 6M at the start) is essential.

I've also trained my CMs and W's as BBM and DW instead, I feel like it makes them a bit more well-rounded.

Didn't get an answer before so I'll ask again. If we are under dog do we keep mentality as attacking(default) or change it to counter or control?

Great tactic. Only one to outlast every patch out there ! :D

Hi mate, sorry must have missed the question first time, I keep it as attacking at all times, no matter which team I am. It always leads to over achievement for me.

Hi

I've got to say this tactic is one of the best I've used in recent FM games, solid defence and plenty of chances created! The problem I've got is that the strikers just don't score any goals for me! I've only tried the tactic with Chelsea and City so far but the most I've got out of a striker in the league is Eto'o on 9 goals for the season and that's winning the league too (Aguero and Negredo are even worse with 2 between them)!

I don't know whether that is because teams always sit back when I play them, leaving the False 9 constantly outside the box, or the strikers are pants! Has anyone had any luck using a different striker role? I tried Poacher for a while but still no joy!

Wow! Its not only Your best tactic for FM, it is the best tactic for FM I've seen in this patch, and believe me, i tested a lot. I'm very impressed! Here are some screens:
WRZUTA - Schedule
WRZUTA - Results
Gonna post more, and the end of the season if u want to use them. Note, i lost ZERO goals in league games. Only goals I lost was in a cup game when I played mostly my reserve team, and still scored 5.

U can try a treq or deeplying forward,
A poacher or advanced forward would get isolated

I love this tactic but have had exact same issues. Haven't had much playing time at all recently but tomorrow i am tempted to try CF (support) or DLF to see if i get more goals. Still very very consistent tactic though

Make sure Your striker is fast, that means AT LEAST 15 speed and acceleration, but You should aim for 17-18. Off the ball skill is also important. PPMs like "likes to beat offside traps" and "move into channels" can help quite a lot. Those are the things u need to create chances for Your striker. Rest depends on his finishing, technique, composure... My strikers usually gets 1 on 1's when he receives a long ball played behind the defenders.
