My Blackpool Save, Need Help!!!

Me and my friends have decided to challenge each other by all playing a Blackpool save, i would like your help and advice on tactics, players, formations etc. I need help urgently as i can tell im going down hill already as i lost to Wigan 2-1, Liverpool 5-0 and lost on Penalties to COVENTRY!!!!! HELP PLEASE!!

If your inexpereinced (just persuming) in the game you should start off at an easier team than Blackpool.
But anyway what tactics are you using.

I normally play with bigger clubs and am rather succesful at that but i fancied my friends challenge, im just using 4-4-1-1, ive made the following signings; Adam Matthew, Bogdan Stancu, Rivaldo, Sylvain Wiltord and Dereyck Boyata on loan any suggestions?
