Moyes Resigns
David Moyes has resigned as Everton manager after 8 years and 3 months in charge. Moyes, who managed Preston North End before Everton. Moyes enjoyed a successful time at Everton, breaking the dominance of the top four and qualifying for the Champions League.
Moyes said, “I don’t think I can take the club any further.”
Chairman Bill Kenwright said that, “he felt that the club wasn’t progressing also and the outcome was best for both parties. We will look forward to the new manager coming in and taking the club forward.”

Leggett Appointed
Rookie manager Daniel Leggett took over the helms at Everton after former manager David Moyes resigned.
Leggett who was born in Peterborough has said that he is “delighted to take charge of such a big and historic club.”
The appointment came as a shock because unemployed Sam Allardyce and Chris Hughton were touted as favourites to get the job. Chairman Bill Kenwright said that, “Leggett has a fresh outlook and a clear vision that we at Everton share. Hopefully we can progress as a football club and have a long and successful relationship.”

Preparing for pre-season
With not that much money in the club at the moment, manager Daniel Leggett doesn’t have a large transfer budget available to spend in the transfer market.
Transfer Budget:- £2.6 million
Remaining Wage:- £53,000 p/w
