SACKED!
Today Manchester City have brought an end to the Mancini-era. This news is sure to bring shock waves across Manchester. An official spokesman for Manchester City stated "We would like to thank Roberto for all his time & effort at the Etihad, but, we feel it is time for a change of thinking around the managerial office. We need to establish this club as a top European club. Last season, we was eliminated in the group stage & that is not acceptable. A new manager has been found & will be announced later on today."

New Man In The Office

Later that day, a new manager was announced at The Etihad but it was not who everyone thought it would be, Pep Guardiola was not unveiled as the new boss, but, Sam Wilson was. This is one fans reaction, "I'm shocked. I mean, we could have got Pep Guardiola or Harry Redknapp. Instead we get this unknown man? Well all I can say is, good luck! I really hope he proves me wrong."

Manchester City breakdown.

Best goalkeeper - Joe Hart

I think it goes without saying that Joe Hart is Manchester City's best goalkeeper, arguably the best British goalkeeper. Maybe even one of the best goalkeepers in the world! It's safe to say that the defense will be less concerned knowing this man is between the sticks.

Best defender - Vincent Kompany

Vincent Kompany since he's joined has been one of the worlds best centre-halfs! Strong, quick, agile, determined & a leader. Man City have defenders but this man stands head & shoulders above them all. Certainly someone to influence Wilson's side this season.

Best midfielder - David Silva

David Silva on his day could be considered the best playmaker in England. Lost his touch for a period last season but found it again & as the old saying say's, 'form is temporary, class is permanent.'. City will be hoping his tricky runs & clever passes can scare defenders once again.

Best striker - Sergio Aguero

I think it goes without saying that his participation last season was nothing short of superb, his winning goal in the dying minutes against Queens Park Rangers is a moment that will forever be with all Manchester City & football fans! When you score 29 goals in a season & a footballing great, Gary Neville, say's that you "underachieved", you know the boy has something special about him. Definitely watch 'Kun' Aguero this season.g

Top youngster -
Karim Rekik

Karim Rekik is someone who can learn so much from the likes of Lescott & Kompany. The boy has so much potential & will feature as a bit-part player for the Citizens this season.

Wildcard - Mario Balotelli

This man has the ability to make or break your season. The perfect example of hot & cold. If he keeps his cool this season then he can be a world-beater! But, if he continues to crumble under the pressure at times & continues to be his own worst enemy, then he will cause a lot of upset in the City locker room!

Manager Sam Wilson see's this as a great opportunity for them to show City what they have at another club, gaining valuable experience. Also departing on loan are John Guidetti (Everton) & Jack Rodwell (Tottenham). Another two youngsters who can gain from the match experience.

12th August 2012: Community Shield.
Chelsea vs Manchester City.

Starting 11 for both clubs.

A very impressive display from Manchester City. 20 shots to Chelsea's 8, yet Chelsea put away their chances. Something that Man City Sam Wilson will sure tell his team to do in the future. Full time score from Villa Park, Chelsea 2-0 Man City.
Fernando Torres got himself a run-out in this game, whilst David Silva picked up an injury that will see him miss only 3 days.
Congratulations to the Community Shield winners of 2012.....CHELSEA!

Monthly Round-up!

Michael Johnson joined Doncaster on a season-long loan, hoping to revive his career.

Gunnar Nielsen went to Accrington on a season-long loan.
& finally, Harry Bunn joined Walsall on a season-long loan.

City leave it late against an impressive Hammers side!

Manchester City was left scared at Upton Park, as it took a 91st minute Fernando Torres special to finish West Ham! The Hammers had taken the lead with a well worked set-piece finished off by defender & local Hammers boy, James Tomkins after only 9 minutes. City equalised though with the goal coming from midfield dynamo, Yaya Toure, just 2 minutes later. Man City went on to dominate the half but to no avail. It then took them a minute into injury time for Fernando Torres to pop up with a sensational goal on his premier league debut.

Man of the match - Fernando Torres.
City's first home game is an impressive one, against Fulham!

There was no scare this time for the Citizens as they ran rampant in the first half at the Etihad. It took them only 11 minutes to take the lead thanks to a nice finish from David Silva. Silva then doubled the lead & doubled his goal tally for the game after 34 minutes. The game was sealed shortly after thanks to former Barcelona man, Alexis Sanchez, just before half-time. City was comfortable in the second-half but failed to score a forth.

Man of the match - David Silva.
Another away-day fright for City.

Man City & Swansea went head to head in a game that saw the Manchester side dominate, but, it took them until the 86 minute to eventually take the lead thanks to a David Silva corner that lead to Vincent Kompany finding the back of the net. Edin Dzeko's performance did not please manager Sam Wilson as he was brought off at half-time, but he has not given up on the Bosnia international who in Wilson's words, "has that extra something about him.

Tough Champions League group for the blue side of Manchester.
Manchester City

Capital One Cup also does City no favors.
