I am managing NAC Breda. I try to make my players press more. Hassle opponents. Man to man marking, etc but they just don't work. It's like my entire team has a 5 second lag from the real world. How can I fix that? THey're slow to mark, slow on the intercept, etc.

Interested in this as well. I love when some players are a closer distance to the ball and then just sort of stand there and let an opponent further away run on to it.

Gotta do the opposite. You need to keep the shape, reduce closing down-- especially across your defensive line-- and decrease the width. Once you do that, you will only concede from long shots and corners (as well as the occasional defensive blunder)

The problem with closing down with weaker teams is they leave huge gaps all over the field, and you will get opened up. Once the computer is in space, your team is going to be scrambling around to try and stop the threat, but you'll usually concede a goal or a corner
